Fantawild parks in China observed strict regulations for pandemic prevention during the Labor Day Holiday. These included advanced ticket booking, limiting the number of visitors, preventing gatherings of large groups, and taking measures to prevent the pandemic, therefore providing visitors with a safe environment and high-quality service.
Measures to Ensure the Safety of Visitors
Since Fantawild parks in China resumed business in March, measures to ensure the safety of visitors and prevent the spread of the pandemic have been taken.
During the Labor Day Holiday, the parks used a real-name ticketing system, measured body temperatures of visitors, checked the health QR codes of visitors, registered relevant information, and prevented people gathering in large groups as required by authorities. The park also limited the total number of guests and arranged for visitors to arrive at different times throughout the day at varying intervals.
The official APP, Fantawild Tourism, has become a useful tool for visitors touring the parks while practicing social distancing. With the APP, visitors can search information, book tickets, navigate through the parks, and pay fees, thus avoiding direct contact with others.
Activities with Elements of “Boonie Bears” and Chinese Culture
Fantawild parks presented themed activities during the holiday to offer more fun to visitors all while ensuring their safety.
Ningbo Fantawild Oriental Heritage and Qingdao Fantawild Dreamland each held a “Boonie Bears Fun Run” during the Labor Day Holiday. Many families attended the run, in celebration of a healthy lifestyle. The event offered an opportunity for visitors to participate in outdoor activities with family. Voice actors from Fantawild’s animation show Boonie Bears were also there to meet their fans. A display of the cute animated bears was arranged for fans of the show to enjoy.
Jinan Fantawild Oriental Heritage and Changsha Fantawild Oriental Heritage are themed around Chinese culture. Both parks held activities with elements from the Tang Dynasty during the holiday. Changsha Fantawild Oriental Heritage held a “grand ceremony of traditional Chinese costumes” displaying many elegant costumes. Jinan Fantawild Oriental Heritage, on the other hand, held birthday parties with elements of the Tang Dynasty as well as other Chinese culture themed parties in celebration of the park’s anniversary. Visitors could participate in the above activities and enjoy their time at the parks.
Many Fantawild parks arranged activities at night time to offer even more fun. Handan Fantawild Oriental Legend held a Chinese-themed carnival. Visitors could participate in a series of games at night, which reflected the park’s theme of traditional Chinese culture. Many parks arranged light shows and firework displays during the holiday. After careful planning, Jinzhou Fantawild Oriental Heritage used drones to put on a creative light show for 5 consecutive days during the holiday. The show lasted for 13 minutes. 300 drones flew around The Plummet, an attraction in the park, and formed patterns reminiscent of the local area, such as the silhouette of the famous poet Qu Yuan, a phoenix, drum stand in the form of two birds and two tigers. The drones were also arranged to form the words Hello Hubei, Jinzhou Fantawild, and Hail to all laborers. The show and the lighting in the park complimented each other. The show combined modern technology with esthetics, and won praise from visitors and local media. The news channel China Central Television (CCTV) also covered the show.
Fantawild parks will continue to take strict measures in the future to ensure the safety of visitors, and provide them with a constant unique experience in order to best facilitate the recovery of the entertainment and tourism industry.
